TETFUND Gets New Executive Secretary

Former Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Arc.Sunny Echono, has been appointed as the new Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).
Echono would take over the affairs of theTETFUND on March 18, 2022 and from Professor Elias Bogoro.
In a statement signed by the Director, Press, Federal Ministry of Education,  Ben Goong, the appointment was approved by the  President, MuhammaduBuhari.
The statement said “the appointment of Sunday Echono was approved by President, Muhammadu Buhari. He takes over from Prof. Sulaiman Elias Bogoro whose five year tenure will end on 18th March, 2022.
“Prior to his appointment, he had served as Permanent Secretary, Fed. Ministry of Education and member, Board of Trustees of TETfund among other important national assignments.”
Describing Echono as an accomplished technocrat, the statement said Echono would bring to the fund” a diverse wealth of experience spanning from infrastructure, business administration, procurement management, ICT and the education sector”.
