Rivers United’s Skipper Sure To Win NPFL Title

Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt captain, Temple Emekayi has said that the pride of Rivers is on course of winning the Nigeria Professional Football League, (NPFL), and tittle this season.
He stated that the team  has improved more than last season, adding that all what they are looking forward is to win the league by the grace of God.
Emekayi said this on Monday in an exclusive interview with Tidesports, shortly after they defeated Heartland FC 3-1 in the match day eight of the NPFL at the AdokiyeAmiesimaka stadium Port Harcourt.
According to him, a team that played continental game back to back is expected to do better, saying that with their experience gathered from the continental games they are going to ensure they bring glory to the team.
“This season, we are looking forward to win the title by the grace of God.
We are trying to improve game by game.
I think this season improvement has been awesome and we need to keep the tempo.
Our hope is to remain on top of the log” Emekayi said.
He commended the technical crew of the team, saying that the combination of Stanley Eguma and FataiOsho has given the team a new look.
The technical crew is doing a very great job” he stated.
He used the medium to call on the team’s supporters  to keep their hope alive this season.
The pride of Rivers moves to the top of the NPFL table with 18 points from eight matches.
