Rivers United’s Attacker Eyes League Title
Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt attacker, Ishaq Kayode has said that his target this season is to win the Nigeria fessional Football League (NPFL) title with the club and other trophies.
According to him, there is a lot of difference in the team’s performance this season, adding that every player is giving out his best to achieve success.
Kayode said this on Sunday in an exclusive interview with Tidesports shortly after the pride of Rivers defeated Katsina United 3-0 in the match day two of the NPFL at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The attacker who scored two goals and assisted the third one on Sunday expressed happiness for scoring two goals, saying that he planned to score in the game.
“ I am highly impressed, I knew I am going to score in today’s game.
There is a lot of difference in my performance this season compared to last season because last season I was playing from the bench,” Kayode said.
The attacker noted that the club has changed its tactics since they were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup last season.
“This season our target is to achieve more than what we achieved last season.
As you can see today there is a lot of difference in our game,” he stated.
