Council Boss Tasks Workers On Dedication
Chairman, Irele Local Government Council of Ondo State, Mr Olusegun Ajimotokin, has charged members of staff of the council to be productive, honest and result-oriented.
Ajimotokin gave the charge yesterday during a meeting with members of staff of the council as part of activities marking the 30th anniversary celebration of the council area.
He promised to ensure enabling working environment for staff of the council in order to boost productivity.
The council boss also reiterated his administration’s drive toward prioritising workers’ welfare and also to design blueprints that would address issues affecting residents of the area.
According to him, enabling environment will amplify staff productivity.
“Therefore, my government will intensify efforts in ensuring that the working environment of the council workforce is given desired priority.
“I am also committed to ensure to design a blue-print affecting my people so that that lives of residents of the council will be better and meaningful,” Ajimotokin said.
He, however, expressed displeasure over what he described as poor attitude to work of some staff and promised that outstanding staff would be given award at the end of the year.
The newsmen reports that activities marking the 30 years anniversary of the council began last Monday with inter-denominational prayers.
There was also an inauguration of a cultural troupe to preserve the council’s cultural heritage.
