The traditional ruler of Bua- Boue Kingdom in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, King Torwe Tarlor, Mene-Bua Boue IV, has called on cultists in the Kingdom to embrace peace.
Torwe said the essence of peace in any society including Boue Kingdom could not be over emphasised.
He made the call during his birthday celebration at the weekend at his palace.
The traditional ruler said peace and security of the Kingdom could collectively be won when relevant stakeholders join forces with him.
He said the battered Kingdom was as a result of cultism which he was trying to rebuild.
He said this could only be achieved if his people come together and say no to cultism.
Torwe said he was making conscious efforts to bring lasting peace and orderliness in the Kingdom, and condemned in strong terms all forms of criminality including cultism, wanton killings, kidnapping and other vices inimical to the growth of the Kingdom.
According to him, “my number one message to the Kingdom is peace and security and shun cultism.
Everyone should embrace peace and work together to rebuild the battered Kingdom,” he said.
He reiterated his commitment never to condole evil in its entirety, condone it is the reason enemies of the Kingdom are after his life.
While thanking Governor Nyesom Wike for his relentless efforts in the fight against crime in all parts of the State, he urged the people to reciprocate the Governor’s gesture by showing more support.
The royal father said Governor Wike’ s support to the security agents in the State deserves commendation, and admitted that Boue Kingdom would always remain supportive of his government.
