Chidi Lloyd Gives Reason For His Return To PDP

Former Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Chidi Lloyd said his return back to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is to join forces with the governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, to develop the state.
Hon. Lloyd made the assertion while speaking on a live radio show organised by Silverbird Communications Port Harcourt, recently, saying he has reversed himself on some things he said in the past against the Wike administration.
He said his criticism in the past was borne from the opposition standpoint and that he spoke as a bystander.
Now he is back to the PDP, the former leader said he is ready to work with the governor to move the state forward.
In his words, “If there is anything in the past that I said and did that was not good, I restitute for them now.”
He described Chief Wike as a man of many parts who had demonstrated vision through the projects he is executing across the state.
“There is a lot of urban renewal going on. You can see the number of flyovers being constructed at the same time, so for me these things are there for anybody to see and assess the governor,” Lloyd remarked.
With what is on ground in the state, the former All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said he will defend the governor’s administration as one of the best.
He on the other hand flaked the APC for poor political ideology and failure to use power in empowering the masses, recalling that since 2015 they have failed to win elections in Rivers State.
