Speaker Hails Wike’s Achievements

Last year, legislative business in the
Assembly ended with a budget presentation by the state governor, Chief Nyesom Wike.
Already the budget has passed first reading and this year, it is expected that the legislators will give the appropriation bill an accelerated hearing.
Shortly after the governor presented the budget proposal, Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Ikuinyi Owaji Ibani commended the governor for his numerous development strides in the state.
Rt. Hon. Ibani admitted that the budget was proactive and would consolidate the achievements so far made by the Chief Wike-led administration in all the sectors of the economy.
In a related development, m ember representing Opobo/Nkoro State constituency, Hon. Adonye Diri has commended Chief Wike for the various developmental projects sited in his constituency.
Hon. Diri in a chat with newsmen said Wike deserves support and vote from Opobo/Nkoro people.
According to Diri one prominent project that deserves commendation is the completion of the Andoni/Opobo Unity Road, which today has made it possible for the people of the area to drive into their communities.
Diri who is the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) House of Assembly candidate in the 2019 elections, said so far he has been able to execute some constituency projects such as the three markets at Nkoro, Queens Town and Kalaibiama to boost local economy of the area.
While canvassing for a second term, the Opobo/Nkoro Constituency legislator said despite setbacks caused by the long legal tussle over the elections, he has been able to touch the lives of youths, women, and men in the area.
He assured that if given another mandate, he would execute more people oriented projects in the constituency.
