Commissioner Wants Youth To Protect Govt’s Projects

Youths of Rivers State have been advised to jealously guard government projects sited in their communities against vandals and marauders in order to get the full benefits of such projects and infrastructures.
The Commissioner for Housing, Elder Tasie Chinedu Nwobueze, who made the call in his office when the newly elected executive council of Eligbam Youth Federation paid him a courtesy visit in his office, enjoined the new youths executive council to learn from their predecessors so as to maintain the cordial relationship existing between the state and their community.
Elder Nwobueze who congratulated the new executive council on their emergence to serve their community, admonished them not to expect too much from the contractors handling projects in their community but to continue to sustain the existing relationship between their community and the government.
The Housing Commissioner promised the youths of Eligbam that whatever is possible to assist them function will be provided for them.
Earlier in his speech, the newly elected President of Eligbam Youths Federation, Mr Innocent C. Ogutum, said that they were in the office of the commissioner to familiarizes themselves with him and to thank him for giving their predecessors a pride of place, asking for sustenance of same spirit.
The youth leader used the opportunity to plead with the commissioner to consider the youths with job placement and subcontracts on the ongoing Judges Quarters Project in the area.
