RCCG Urges Christian Families To Be Exemplary
Christian families have been admonished to be Christ-like in their dealings and also ensure that they are mediums for correcting the ills in the society.
This was the central theme in the Thanksgiving service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Seed of God Parish.
This year’s edition of the RCCG Weekend was tagged “Sustaining The Christian Family In A Time Like This,” with the Bible scripture taken from Genesis 19: 18
Speaking with The Tide, the speaker, Miss Victory King Onu, said that all members of the family must play their parts to foster peace and unity in the family, and the nation at large.
According to her, parents should endeavour to make sure their children and wards imbibed Godly values in times like this when it seemed that Godly counsels, and even societal values were slowly going into extinction.
Furthermore, she explained that once parents were successful in inculcating Godly standard in their children, many social vices will reduce to the bearest minimum, as it was the youth and those coming after them that were majorly involved in such activities.
Also speaking ,the Youth President of the Parish,Paul Avidime said that the family at this time had lost its values, standards and any sense of responsibility.
“The Fathers need to instill core values of God in their children, and the fathers need to return to the ancient landmark like the scripture rightly says we should not forsake the ancient landmark which our fathers have set”, he said.
