Chief Tasks CDC On Security

The outgone Chairman, Omuoko Aluu, Community Development Committee (CDC), Chief Collins Okechukwu Amadi has admonished the newly elected CDC officials to tackle insecurity and injustice in the community.
Chief Amadi who handed over the CDC leadership to the new Chairman, Chief Amaechi Christopher and his executives advised them to be transparent in their dealings in the community.
The outgone chairman spoke to The Tide on Sunday in Omuoko shortly after handing over his seven years-tenure to the new executives.
The red cap chief who described his tenure as successful said he embarked on developmental projects, attracted investors and partnered with the law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and unity in the community to protect lives and property.
He explained that, he built markets, shops to generate revenue for the community and also embarked on construction of over 20 bedroom flats for the community.
Describing the position as a life expenence Chief Amadi said CDC position made him to be a good administrator manager and a lover of peace.
According to him, ” the position made me to be more enlightened in managing communal crisis and above all, exposed me to the outside world”
He appealed to the youths to embrace peace and refrain from acts capable of destroying the society, even as he cautioned them to be their brother’s keepers.
The Chairman who described the position as terminal urged the new chairman to cooperate with the youths and elders to enthrone peace and unity in the community. While calling on the new executives to be courageous and shun cultism Amadi appealed to them to attract socio-economic trans formation to the community by living in peace.
Earlier, the newly elected Chairman, OmuokoAluu CDC, Chief Amaechi Christopher promised to unite the community and tackle insecurity.
Describing leadership as an act of God, Christopher assured the chiefs, elders and youths of peace and progress in the community.
He vowed not to disappoint the community on the confluence reposed in him and the executives saying that he would partner with the security agents to curb crime and criminality in the community.
