Ex-Agitators Promise To Build Peace In N’Delta
Ex-agitators in the Niger Delta have pledged to work for peace in the region for development to thrive.
The ex-militants made the promise, at the weekend, in Port Harcourt, after their graduation from programmes in agriculture at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
They expressed appreciation to the Federal Government for the amnesty programme for ex-militants in the region which gave them the opportunity to bag degrees in their various fields of study at the university.
Two of the ex-agitators, Mr Genesis Israel and Paul Ebi, who spoke on behalf of the 25 former militants, said they were ready to collaborate with government to promote the culture of peace in the region.
