Yul Edochie Joins Anambra Guber Race
Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has declared his intention to run for governor of Anambra State in the elections scheduled to hold on November 18,2017.
Yul who is also a successful actor like his father Pete Edochie took to his twitter page to reveal his ambition and upload his campaign poster. He however did not disclose the political party he intends to use as platform.
He also stated that Anambra needs a new brand of leaders who will put the masses first. He wrote, ‘my name is Yul Edochie and I’m running for governor of Anambra State 2017. # The last bus stop”. He shared the same photo a second time, this time with the caption:
“We need a new brand of leaders who will put the masses first, the older ones have failed us, they have come to THE LAST BUS STOP”.
Yul Edochie’s announcement has been trailed with lots of reactions on social media while some persons believe that it is a more to the right direction, some others believe it’s either a move in just a joke.
Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie popularly known as Yul Edochie was born on January of 1982 and is also a successful actor in the Nigerian movie industry. Yul, the last of six children was raised both in Lagos and Enugu.
He joined Nollywood in 2005 in his debut film titled, “The Exquires” alongside the late Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa. He got his break in 2007 after featuring in the movie, ‘Wind of Glory’ alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot.
Yul got married to his wife in 2004, at a very young age of 22 after dating her, May Aligwe, for six years the star actor started dating he gained admission into the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) and although he had nothing to offer at that time she agreed to settle with him.
