…As Lawmakers Hail Wike Over Projects
The lawmaker representing Degema Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly (RVHA), Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo, has commended the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for the flag-off of Bakana shore protection project in the constituency.
Dagogo lauded the Governor last Friday while speaking at the flag-off ceremony in Bakana in Degema local government area of the state.
The lawmaker, who described the Governor as the messiah of the present Rivers State, said the people of Degema Constituency would continue to support the Governor for fulfilling his electioneering campaign promises in the area.
He said the people of Bakana would benefit immensely from the project in terms of employment and empowerment.
Dagogo thanked the traditional rulers and people of Bakana for their support during the 2015 and the last rerun elections in the area, assuring that Governor Wike’s administration would continue to better the lives of Rivers’ people including the people of Degema constituency.
The lawmaker, however, appealed to the Governor to direct the security agencies to beef-up security in the area, saying that the recent robbery and attacks on innocent persons along the Degema water ways have called for concern.
Also speaking, the lawmaker representing Akuku-Toru Constituency I in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Tekena Wellington, said the sand filling project in Akuku-Toru Area is an indication that the Governor acknowledged the support of the people to the present administration in the state.
He said the Abalama sand filling project, embarked upon by Governor Wike’s administration is strategic to the development of the area.
Wellington urged the people to maintain their support to Governor Wike and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to enable government continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the state including the Akuku-Toru people.
