A fan of Sharks FC of Port
Harcourt and Sports analyst, John Nwankwo has attributed the poor performance of both Sharks and Dolphins FC to absent of proper management board.
He stated that decisions that would affect the club is always taken unilaterally by one or two persons, which most times affect the entire club adversely.
Nkwankwo said this in an exclusive interview with Tidesports yesterday, in Port Harcourt, saying that football administration is not all affairs. It is good to be handed by seasoned administrators and professionals.
According to him, sports generally have gone beyond mere plessure a adding that sports are now  lucrative businesses if it is well managed.
“It is unfortunate that my Club, Sharks is relegated to lower division. Personally I have been saying that the state government should constitute management board for the two teams, to achieve success.
In my opinion it is practically wrong for one or two persons to manage premiership teams. It is also sadden to hear that new players are single handedly recruited by the general managers and secretaries of both Clubs”, Nwankwo said.
He opined that the only way the teams would perform impressively this coming season is to constitute management board, so that welfare of players and other entitlements will pass through proper channel.
“Honestly we the followers and fans of both Sharks and Dolphins are tired of two man management team.  Government should please save us from another embarrassment and constitute board members to properly manage the teams” he stated.
The sports analyst noted that the issue of “god fatherism” is another major problem the clubs are facing signing amateur and unqualified players because of god fatherism.
On this note he pleaded with the incoming managements to do away with god fatherism and favouritism to enable  the clubs succeed.
