Ekpai’s Return To Akwa Utd Not Sealed Yet
Kano Pillars forward
Ubong Ekpai has disclosed he has yet to conclude agreement on his personal terms with his former club Akwa United.
“My transfer to Akwa United is not a done deal yet. We are still discussing my personal terms and we are yet to agree,” he said.
“Akwa United have contacted Kano Pillars about this transfer. I am just training with Akwa United to be fit and not as the team player yet.”
Ekpai, who won league with Kano Pillars in the 2013/2014 season, said he is considering a return to hometown club Akwa United because they will feature in the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup.
“The opportunity of playing on the continent is why I am in talks for a move back to Akwa United and they have offered to pay more than I earn at Pillars,” he further said.
He scored seven goals last season at Pillars last season.
He was on trial at Lillestrom in Norway earlier this year.
