Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Ikeme, 29, deputised for bereaved Vincent Enyeama and he pulled off several saves to keep the fired-up Taifa Stars at bay for the entire 90 minutes.
“I don’t like to single out players from the team, but I have to admit that Carl Ikeme had a great game for us today,” remarked Oliseh after the game in Tanzania..
Oliseh said he will take the point on the road after his team struggled particularly in the first half.
“We were disorganised in the first half, but fared better in the second,” he said.
“In the second half, we organised ourselves better, but lacked that quality supply from midfield to attack. We will get better.
“We have to continue to build. We barely had two good days of training before this match, so I am happy with the one point.”
