Opobo/Nkoro Patriots Endorse Dakuku

The Opobo/Nkoro Patriots, an assemblage of traditional rulers, opinion leaders and Chiefs in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area has expressed satisfaction with the level of goodwill and support the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside is receiving in the state.
In a communiqué at the end of its meeting in Port Harcourt, read by the former Deputy Governor of the state, Sir G.T.G. Toby, the group described the situation as a mark of endorsement of Dr. Peterside by the people of the State, as their next governor.
The communiqué particularly commended the Amanyanabo of Bonny, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple for his fraternal love and solidarity with the Dr. Peteside, and also lauded the Gbenemene Tai and Chairman Rivers State Council of Chiefs, King G.N.K. Giniwa and the Amanyanabo of Kalabari, Prof. T.J.T. Princewill for endorsing Dr. Dakuku Peterside.
The Opobo/Nkoro Patriots also commended the traditional rulers and people of Ikwerre for welcoming, Dr. Peterside to Isiokpo the traditional headquarters of the Ikwerre nation and the Eze Ekpeye Iogbo Eze Robinson O. Robinson for his endorsement of the gubernatorial candidate of the APC.
The group also thanked the people of Abua, Eleme and Ogba for their support and further commended market women and other people of goodwill across the state for accepting the candidature of Dr. Dakuku Peterside and assured them of the continuous support of the people of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government.
While commending Governor Amaechi for the choice of a Riverine man for the Brick House come May 2015, the group noted that the choice of Dakuku was an indication that every Riversman and woman could aspire to the highest political office in the state.
“This is an opportunity of alternative which all true sons and daughters of Opobo/Nkoro cherished. Governor Amaechi has renewed the faith of every child in the strength of our rainbow coloured state and reassured us that no community will be left behind in our march to build the Rivers State of our dream”, the communiqué added.
