Oru Community Loses Dep t Prime Minister
The demise of the
Deputy Prime Minister of Oru Autonous Community in Ikwuano local Government Area of Abia State, Chief Godwin Ogbonna, has been described as a great loss to his people.
Specially in a chat with The Tide Chief Ezeogo Nelson Nrionye said the news of the Deputy Prime Ministers death was a shock to the community considering the level of his achievements and contributions to the people of Oru Kingdom.
He expressed sadness over the Deputy Prime Minister’s death adding that the community had lost a great philanthropist.
Also speaking, the first daughter of late Chief Ogbonna, Dr. Jenifffer Spiff said her late father until his death was the chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Nrionye Partner Generator Nigeria Ltd.
Dr. Spiff who also is the Chief mourner expressed shock over the death of her father stating that only God would give the family the fortitude to bear the irrespirable lost.
She explained that the death of her father created a vacuum in the family, company and the community at large.
Spiff noted that her father was a friend to everyone around him, adding that news of his death had rendered many of his dependents hopeless.
According to the daughter, the remains of Ugo Mba I of Oru community would be laid to rest on November 21, at his home town.
It would be recalled that Chief Ogbonna died on September 29, this year after a brief illness.
