Elechi Sacks , Appoints 28 LG Bosses
Governor Martin Elechi
of Ebonyi State yesterday sacked 28 Coordinators of Development Centres in the state for alleged acts inconsistent with government policies and programmes.
Those affected include the wife of the second republic senator and governorship aspirant in 2015 elections, Dr. Offia Nwali, who was the coordinator of Ezza South Development Centre; the coordinators of Ebonyi Development Centre, Mr. Stephen Igwe; Amasiri Development Centre, Mr. Ogbonnaya Oko Enyim; Akaeze Development Centre, Mr. Emmanuel Orji; Effium Development Centre, Mrs Chinyere Igwe; Effium South, Mr. Bernard Uzim.
Other sacked coordinators include Mr. Chinedu Makwe, Mrs. Christiana Ezenta, Mr. Bernard Onwe,Chinwendu Onwe, Mr. Emeka Ogeh, Mr. David Odey, Mrs. Ogechukwu Elebe, Felix Ogbonna, among others.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Celestine Nwali, in a statement, directed the sacked coordinators to handover to the administrative officers in their various development centres.
Meanwhile, new coordinators have been appointed and will be sworn-in after the rectification of their appointments by the state House of Assembly.
They include Mr. Cletus Ngah, Uchenna Mkpuma; Cajetan Nweke, Mr. Dele Ijoko, Chinedu Awo, among others appointees.
