Dolphins Striker Threatens League Goals Record
Dolphins striker Emem
Eduok is now just a goal from matching the all-time record in the Nigeria league after he scored six goals in a 6-0 whitewash of Nembe City on Wednesday.
Eduok has now scored 19 goals, just one shy of the all-time record set by Jude Aneke three seasons ago.
The former Flying Eagles forward, who was recently called up by the Super Eagles, has already set a new record of the player to score the highest number of goals in a single game in Nigeria league history.
But the goals race is far from over as Gbolahan Salami of Warri Wolves scored a brace against Crown FC also on Wednesday to take his tally to 17, while Enyimba hit man Mfon Udoh has now netted 18 goals courtesy of his match winner at home against El Kanemi.
Ighodalo Osaguona of Enugu Rangers is on 16 goals.
