EmoLGa CTC Chairman Empowers Women

dred women from the fourteen Wards in Emohua Local Government Area have been presented with luxury lady bikes worth one hundred and twenty thousand naira each. The gesture is part of the empowerment scheme currently being initiated across the Local Government by the caretaker committee of Emohua Local Government Council.
Addressing the people, the caretaker committee chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Godstime Orlukwu, said that the programme would be held monthly.
Hon Orlukwu, who thanked the people for their massive support for the administration, said that the council would within the short period embarked on policies and programmes that will put food on the table of the people, stressing that he would do everything possible to ensure that the people of Emohua feel the impact of the government.
He used the occasion to call on the beneficiaries to make prudent use of what the council has given to them as their own empowerment benefits, urging them to go all out and mobilise support for the All Progressive Congress (APC) in all the wards.
Also speaking, the state Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Emmanuel Chindah, urged the people to ensure that they get their voters cards, noting that the essence of the empowerment is to energise and keep them in good condition as party supporters.
He also urged them not to be deterred in working for the APC as the government of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is determined to give the people a sense of belonging.
In their separate speeches, the APC Chairman in Emohua, Chief Vincent Chukwu and the former caretaker chairman of the council Chief Azu Nkovadu enjoined the people to put the interest of APC in all their activities.
The beneficiaries also received cash donations.
