Eagles Showed Character In 2-3 Loss – Eguma

of Port Harcourt Manager, Stanley Eguma, has said that Super Eagles showed character in their last group F World Cup match in spite of losing 3-2 to Argentina.
Eguma told newsmen in Port Harcourt last Wednesday that the Eagles improved in their game and were unlucky not to level scores.
“The Eagles played well and showed character in their match against Argentina. There was a remarkable improvement in their match today.
“They have improved from their previous matches and I believe they will do well in the remaining matches,’’ he said.
The manager commended the team for qualifying for the round of 16 of the world cup and expressed optimism that they will win their opponents.
“This is football and anything can happen. As a coach, I am sure the Argentines will realise they played a hard opponent.
“The match was not easy for them. I equally know that in the round of 16 matches, we can make it.
“I have a feeling that the Eagles will play with all determination to win their remaining matches,’’ he said.
He commended Ahmed Musa, Eagles’ goals scorer, for “a wonderful outing against Argentina’’.
