tries, OPM, has disclosed plans to institute the first free secondary and a university  in Nigeria to cater for the indigent and less privileged in the society.
This disclosure was made last Monday, by the General Overseer of the church, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, at the Port Harcourt International Airport, while receiving some pupils of the Omega Power Ministries  free nursery and primary schools who were arriving from Paris, France after a week-long excursion visit.
Apostle Chinyere said that the church would build on the free nursery and primary schools it has run for more than four years now by establishing free secondary schools and a university to ensure that the students progress easily to the pinnacle of education without hitches.
According to him, pupils in the nursery and primary schools are children of the poor and less-privileged who would hardly afford quality education, adding that  they got everything free of charge in the school.
“Women who sell pepper, maggi and onions in the market and poor members  contribute to the church through their offerings and tithe, it is act of wickedness to invest the church’s money in private jets and schools that the poor cannot afford.  That is why OPM has chosen to avail the poor the opportunity of quality education in a very conducive environment”, he said.
On the excursion to Paris, the general overseer said that it was in fulfillment of his desire to give the best to the pupils and expose them to experiences that would challenge them to be the best that they were sent to France “to mix up and learn, French the French way”.
