Okorocha Pledges Fair Distribution Of Amenities

Okorocha of Imo, has assured that no section of the state would be marginalised in the distribution of infrastructure.
He made the promise at Ahiara in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area, at a town hall meeting, after inspecting some projects.
He assured the people that all the projects initiated by his administration would be completed before the end of his tenure.
The governor appealed to the people of the state to cooperate with his administration to ensure that contractors executed projects according to specifications.
He also called on the people to support his “rescue mission government” in its efforts to leave a lasting legacy in the state.
The Majority Leader, Imo House of Assembly, Mrs Adaku Ihuoma,  commended the governor for giving attention to the construction of rural and urban roads, health and education.
She described the governor as a man that “keeps his promises” and urged Ahiazu people to continue to support the government.
The chairman, Transition Committee of the council, Mr Victor Iheanacho, also commended the governor for embarking on aggressive road construction and rehabilitation work in the area.
He praised the governor for introducing free education in Imo, adding that it had made the state a reference point in the country.
The chairman described as symbolic, the introduction of payment of stipend to pupils and students, and distribution of free foot wears, school uniforms and other materials to Imo children.
Some of the projects inspected by the governor were classroom blocks under construction,  Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) projects, among others.
