Rivers Baseball Players Ready For U-14 Tourney

State Baseball and Softball Association, Jacob David, has expressed confidence in the ability of his team to excel at the maiden U-14 Baseball Championship.
The championship will be staged at the Adewole Baseball and Softball Park, Ilorin, from March 1 to 7
David told newsmen that the state had talented young players who would be equal to the task.
“We started preparations immediately we received the invitation for the competition.
“We have skillful players who are ready to put in their best for the state to excel in the competition,” he said.
The coach added that trials would be held before the end of the month to select players that would represent the state.
“We will have trials for our players and this will assist the technical crew to pick the best players for the competition,” David said.
Five states: Lagos, Oyo, Abuja, Rivers and the hosts, Kwara will participate in the competition.
The tournament is sponsored by the Kwara Government in collaboration with the Nigeria Baseball and Softball Association.
