Ex-CPS Hails Niboro’s Appointment As NAN MD

Secretary to Governor T.A. Orji, Chief Ugochukwu Emezie, has commended President Goodluck Jonathan for appointing Mr Ima Niboro, as the Managing Director of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Emezie who spoke in Umuahia, while reacting to recent appointments of media managers for Federal Government-owned media establishments described the choice of Niboro as a round peg in a round hole.
“The ingenuity of Mr President in the appointment of the media managers for NAN, NTA and FRCN is giving the right people the opportunity to head Federal Government-owned media establishments. If you look at the pedigree of the appointees, you will know that they not only deserve the positions, but they all merited it,” he said.
He noted that as a seasoned journalist, Niboro had shown “commitment and passion for journalism,’’ recalling that he once served as spokesman to Mr President.
Niboro would help re-engineer NAN to further enhance the role of the agency in consolidating on the integration and unity of Nigeria. Niboro is a goal getter, with his coming, NAN will witness a lot of transformation, which the management, staff and the entire nation would bear testimony to,’’ he said.
