APC Charges Nigerians On Peace In 2014
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has urged Nigerians, especially residents of the state, to pray for peace in 2014 to enhance development.
This is contained in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy in Osun, Mr Kunle Oyatomi, and made available to newsmen.
The party called for peaceful coexistence among the people of the state in 2014 and enjoined all religious leaders to continue to pray for peace.
It urged those who had plans to fan the embers of discord to change their attitude, assuring that the year would mark a new beginning for the people of the state.
The party lauded Governor Rauf Aregbesola for his achievements in 2013, citing transformation of the education sector, road construction and other areas where he had made tremendous impact.
“Only this year, the state broke the record to become the first state in the whole of Africa to introduce a tablet of knowledge (Opon Imo).
“There was massive road construction in all parts of the state while the education sector of the state has been transformed significantly,’’ it said.
The party urged the people to continue to support Aregbesola who had more good things in store for them in 2014.
