Why Grand Beer Leads Other Brands In PH

Published

on

It is no gain saying the fact the Grand Larger beer is fast becoming the brand leader amongst other beer brands in Rivers State and its neighbouring cities.  Its domineering presence in the state is because it is brewed by the state owned PABOD Breweries with the Rivers State born popular musician Emmanuel Amakiri Aka Oba Omega as the brand Ambassador.

Today, the beer is in stiff competition with other larger beers, especially Star, Guilder, Harp and Legend. It is now the popular choice beer amongst the lovers of green bottle in Port Harcourt, while some go for it because it is affordable; others drink it because of their belief that it is better brewed.

In some bars, Grand Larger beer is served from the tap which the brewers provided and this unique method of serving it has further attracted many young guys to the drink. Apart from the Grand Larger Beer (GLB), there are other products like Grand Malt (GM), Grand Soda (GS) and Bond Super Lager beer (BSLB) a special beer brewed with Nigerian raw materials.

It will be recalled that pabod breweries was opened in 1982, its operations commenced in 1983, but it was later shut down in the late 90s before the incumbent governor of the state, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi resurrected it in 2007, since then, the company has been in full operation and providing employment to many, both indigenes and non-indigenes.

The company is located at the Trans-Amadi Industrial Layout axis of the state capital.
