KELGA APC Okays Amaechi’s Defection

Congress (APC) in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State has declared its support for Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who defected to the party last week.
The chairman of the party in KELGA, Poet Morris Joe  Tenor who stated this at a media parley in Port Harcourt at the weekend, said the party was intact and steadfast, especially now that the APC had taken over the administration of the state.
He averred that the door of the party had been wide open for the governor and his teeming supporters in the area, assuring him of the party’s total victory in 2015 elections in the state and in the entire country.
The KELGA APC boss said that the party had always ensured that it lived up to expectation, despite PDP’s intimidation over the years, saying that APC members would always be supportive to his administration.
He condemned in strong terms a recent story in a local tabloid which  reported that his group recognised Chief Williams Igwe as leader of the party in the state, adding that the party only recognised the Esuku M. Esuku led leadership of the party in the state.
Also speaking, Ozuaha Ward 7 APC chairman in the local government area, Wisdom Onuoha while pledging his loyalty to the local government party chairman described Governor Amaechi’s defection to the APC a.s a reflection of visionary leadership.
