Top Class Artistes, Comedians Thrill PH Fun-Seekers
It is no gainsaying the fact
That Port Harcourt City since its creation in 1913, has remained the hub of the entertainment industry in Nigeria. Music and comedy enjoy a pride of place in the city, no wonder A-list artistes and comedians have made the Rivers State capital their second home as they are always attracted to the city by the big events that take place regularly in the oil rich state.
Recently, telecommunication giants, Globacom and MTN stayed big events in the city which attracted super star artistes, comedians, other showbiz personalities and a large crowd of fun seekers who were thrilled all through the nights.
Globacom, the biggest corporate supporter of entertainment in Nigeria, a fortnight ago hosted its “Glo Laffia Fest”, at the Azetech Accrum event centre, Stadium road, Port Harcourt.
The event featured Basket Mouth, His Royal Drunkness, Clint D’Drunk, 2 Cantalk Senator and Funny Bones. Others include: I go Save, Buchi, Okey Bakasi, Dan D’ Humerous, Julius Agwu Apororo, Bovi and Salvador of Uganda.
These seasoned comedians gave good account of themselves on stage as they succeeded in “cracking some ribs” with their well thoughout Jokes.
Top musicians such as Naeto C, Wand e Coal and Flavour were also at their best elements as they thrilled the large audience with their popular hit songs. These performances made it a night of fun, laughter and relaxation for the audience.
Another telecommunication giant in the state, MTN, also entertained its numerous subscribers and fun lovers in a very big event tagged – “MTN Loud in Nija Concert”. It was another night of musical showmanship and artistry and paraded fun favourites such as Davido, KCEE, D’Prince, Chidinma, Prize Waconzy and Sound Sultan.
The Civic Centre Port Harcourt, venue of the event, was filled with youths and adult fun seekers, who were thrilled all night long. Though all the artistes justified their current high rating by their stage performances. Davido and Kacee were most prominent, Sound Sultan also proved his relevance in the modern music clan in Nigeria.
