A socio-political
group, Rivers Voice has commended Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his resilience and doggedness in handling the affairs of the state in the face of continued harassment and intimidation by some agents of state and politicians with inordinate ambition.
In  a statement signed by the group’s Publicity  Secretary, Hon Tams Jeremiah in Port Harcourt yesterday, the group also warned politicians against using the name of President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan to cause social injustice against Rivers people and the state government.
The statement warned selfish politicians to stop distracting Governor Amaechi in his efforts to transform the state and make it the envy of everyone.
It advised the former Okrika Council Chairman, Hon Ibibia Walter to respect the office of Governor of Rivers State and its occupant, Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi, who rescued him at his time of need when he served as chairman for three years without any remarkable achievement.
The statement expressed dismay over the utterances of some Etche bone politicians like Chief Emma Anyanwu, urging him to show maturity in addressing issues concerning Rivers State, moreso, as Governor  Amaechi has acquitted himself creditably in the management of state affairs, which has manifested in unprecedented infrastructural development across the state.
