Rivers Angels Shift Focus To League

Champions of the 2013 Women Federation Cup, Rivers Angels Football Club, Port Harcourt has swung into action ahead of the forthcoming League season ending Super six playoff with a view to adding the league crown to the Federation Cup title.
Speaking, in an interview with Tidesports yesterday, Head Coach of the Club, Edwin Okon said that the team returned to training immediately after the Federation Cup in order for the players not to lose focus.
He said that the club was still determined to do the double this season and put smiles on the faces of their fans and people of Rivers State.
According to the Coach, the players had barely rested after the just concluded 2013 Federation Cup competition as they work assiduously to achieve their target this season.
“We have been on training shortly after the Federation Cup competition as we are determined to win the double this soccer season”, Okon said.
Meanwhile, the Super six playoff has been scheduled to begin on the 20th of next month and Bayelsa State has been chosen as the host.
Rivers Angels management, technical crew and players promised to ensure that the long elusive league title is brought to the state this season.
The Angels only two weeks ago won the Federation Cup for the third time consecutively.
