Odemwingie Happy With Cardiff Debut
Osaze Odemwingie is
satisfied with his debut performance for Cardiff City in their 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
Odemwingie came on as a 65th minute substitute, and came close to scoring against Spurs with a shot which flashed across goal. The 32-year-old also created a chance for Gunnarsson with a pull-back, but the midfielder fired his shot off target.
“It would have been fantastic to score or provide an assist, but it wasn’t to be,” Odemwingie admitted.
The Nigeria international also thanked the fans for the great reception he received as he made his debut, disclosing that he was a bit nervous at first.
“I was out of breath and nervous for a minute or so, it wasn’t an ordinary for me, but the fans were there for me and helped me through with their vocal support.
“I did not expect such a great reception,” the player who was signed on transfer deadline day said.
