Five RSSDA Students Graduate In UK …As One Bags First Class
Five physically challenged students on the Rivers State Governor’s Special Overseas Scholarship Programme will join other students from across the world to graduate from the Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom this month.
One of them, Daniel Nlemogu from Omunwei village in Ikwerre Local Government Area is graduating with first class Honours in Law, just as another student Betty Alali Odema is on the Dean’s list of Honours.
Daniel is among the first batch of beneficiaries of the special opportunities created to give the physically challenged students in the state a first class education in 2009.
Over fifteen young but physically challenged beneficiaries have gone through the programme.
Earlier, Betty Alali Odema had received the British Council Shine Award in the United Kingdom.
It would be recalled that the scholarship programme is managed by the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA).
