New Samsung Smartphone Targets Youth

To give optimum value to users of Smart Mobile devices, Samsung has introduced its new Galaxy Star Smartphone into the Nigerian telecommunication market.

The affordable solution which is targeted at the younger generation of mobile phone, users features a dual-sim functionality and is powered by an A5 IGHz processor as well as the latest Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system.

With a touch screen and 2-megapixel camera, it has 512 MB Ram and 4GB internal memory.

According to the company a formal unveiling of the device is scheduled for this month in Lagos, meanwhile the device is already available at Samsung stores and accredited dealers nationwide.

The company’s commitment to providing mobile phones that would meet the unique needs and resources of individual Nigerians and Africa at large was reiterated by Samsung’s director of Hand Held Products, Mr. Emmanouil Revmatas in an interview recently.

Revmatas stated that, “Mobile handsets are rapidly becoming the centre of our lives, even as more and more users desire access to content and to enjoy more features and activities such as gaming, video and music anytime, anywhere via their devices.

He noted that the company understood that consumer habits and consumption patterns are changing therefore it provides consumers with the opportunity to own a device with features of a high-end smartphone at a much lower cost.

“The Galaxy Star is a device that provides superior value to consumers based on its features, intuitive performance and design”, he added.
