Chime Tasks Perm Secs On Service Delivery
The nine new Permanent Secretaries sworn in last Wednesday by Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu state have been charged to bring their wealth of experience to assist the administration’s effort to bring about total transformation of the state.
Governor Chime who gave the charge during the swearing in ceremony at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House disclosed that all the new Permanent Secretaries were picked from within the civil service to ensure the sustenance and entrenchment of the new system of public administration introduced in the state by his administration.
He, directed all Commissioners in the State to brief Permanent Secretaries under their ministries on the outcome of every Executive Council meeting and ordered that minutes of such meetings be made available to them to ensure full and proper implementation of government policies and programmes.
The Governor charged them to live up to the expectations of their offices.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues, Mr Emeka Asogwa thanked the Governor for the confidence reposed on them and assured him of their determination to discharge their duties to the best of their ability and satisfaction and to the glory of the entire state This, he said, would enable them to stake a claim to being part of the success story that the state has become under the Governor’s leadership.
The new Permanent Secretaries include former Accountant General of the State, Mrs Eunice Ugwu, Mr Emeka Asogwa, Mr Joseph Ikwueze, Ndubuisi Emmanuel and Odo Peter. C. Others are Onuchukwu Ernest, Udenwani George. C and Ugwuagbo Sylvester Onwudiwe.
