Imo Govt Set To Transform Orlu

The Imo State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr Best Mbanaso, has said that the state government is determined to transform Orlu town into a modern city.

Mbanaso, said this at a reception for the newly-appointed Sole Administrator, Orlu Local Government Area, Mr Hyacinth Mbachu, in Owerri last Thursday.

Mbanaso said government had embarked on massive road construction and other development projects in the area.

“Very soon Orlu will turn into a renowned city. We have sanitised the market association and reshuffled their executive members to make sure that the people are well-treated.”

He expressed optimism that the administrator would deliver the needed development in the area, urging him to be dedicated to duty.

In his response, Mbachu pledged to serve the people diligently, adding that his administration would be open to all irrespective of political party affiliation.
