Cleric Charges Nigerians On Peaceful Co-Existence
The Bishop of St Paul’s United Spiritual Church of Christ in Abia State, Most Rev Mike Onuoha, has called on Nigerians to live in peace with one another to attract positive development and Gods protection.
Bishop Onuoha made the call at this year’s convention held at the church headquarters along Port Harcourt Road, Aba.
He urged Christians to redouble their faith in God as to make heaven adding that all Christians should unite and be Christ-like instead of paying lip service.
The cleric admonished Nigerians to look beyond satan and seek the face of God for forgiveness adding that when they seek the face of God by fasting and praying, then God will turn around and listen to their request.
Speaking on the theme of the convention “Christ is the Kings of Kings”, the Bishop said any king on earth without Jesus Christ is not the true king. Bishop Onuoha said: I am grateful to the Almighty God, for his sure bountiful blessing/protection. God the father, God the son, God the holy spirit for practicalisation of his promise in Deuteronomy 28 V 10 upon our clear lives (and all the people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord: and they shall be afraid of thee). May this blessing continue to abide with each and everyone of us in Jesus name – Amen.
Earlier, the chairman of Group II of the men, Chief Innocent Izima led a peace enlightenment campaign by the choir band from salvation and elders for the Bishopric elevational prayer for the church. The group II chairman thanked God for a peaceful convention and reiterated the power of the Holy Spirit in the Church.
According to the media officer of the church, Godspower Ibe Agouwo, the highlights of the convention include singing competition among groups choirs, drama, prayer for Nigerian leaders, and prayer for the growth of St Pauls United Spiritual Church of Christ and its members.
