The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has given a 21-day strike notice to the Federal Government over non implementation of the Consolidated Salary Structure for Judiciary Workers (CONJUSS).

The strike notice is contained in a communiqué issued and jointly signed by Mr Marwan Mustapha, the union’s National President and Mr Issah Adetola, the General Secretary.

The communiqué said that the decision was reached at the end of the union’s National Executive Committee (NEC) in Minna.

It said that unless steps were taken toward implementing the CONJUSS, the union had no choice but to shut down all courts.

It said that failure to comply with the notice could lead to an industrial crisis in all the Federal Courts in Nigeria.

It also condemned the deliberate attempts of government agencies and stakeholders in frustrating the implementation of the scheme.

“The communique stated that National officers will be overseeing the full compliance of JUSUN members during the strike, until government fully complies with the salary structure.
