Commissioner Tasks Staff On Service Delivery
Staff in the Ministry of Employment Generation and Empowerment have been enjoined to take their jobs seriously by being punctual to work.
The commissioner in the ministry, Hon. Ipalibo Macdonald Harry made this remarks yesterday when a team of spiritual ministers came to conduct thanksgiving and rededication service of the ministry to God.
The Hon. Commissioner said that the purpose of the meeting was to prayerfully commit the structure, infrastructure and the entire workforce in the ministry to God for His divine direction.
Hon. Ipalibo M. Harry described prayer as the key to divine breakthroughs, saying, he would kick-start morning devotion in the ministry and enjoined all Heads of Departments to avail themselves by 7:30am to 8:00am daily for the service.
The commissioner who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs. Comfort Iragunima enjoined the staff to first embrace Christ in their service to humanity in order to have divine strength and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the ministry.
Earlier, the Guest Preacher, Rev. Michael Unye-Awaji of the Pillar of God Evangelical Ministries (PGEM), who spoke on the topic “Hold Your Faith” took his text from 2Kings 2:1-5 and urged the staff to build up their courage and be prepared at all times to accept the mantle of leadership and excel.
Rev. Unye-Awaji maintained that “faith in God changes things for better” and stressed that the ministry was duty-bound to stir-up the government gazette on employment to better the lot of unemployed Rivers State indigenes.
