NAOC Honours 259 Workers For Meritorious Service
The Managing Director, Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC), Ciro Antonio Pagano, has stated that recognition of hardwork and dedication to duties will continue to be in the front burner of the company’s policy, as motivational measures to encourage workers.
The Managing Director who was represented by the General Manager, District, Giovanni Salvini, made the remarks during the company’s 2012 long service award/50 year golden jubilee celebration of commencement of NAOC-Eni operations in Nigeria held last Friday at Agip base, Port Harcourt.
The Tide reports that a total of 259 NAOC staff were honoured in various categories with meritorious service awards. The breakdown of the number reveals that 106 awardees have served for five years, 67 recipients for 10 years, four recipients for 15 year, 16 awardees for 20 years, two beneficiaries for 25 years and 48 awardees for 30 years.
He extolled the virtues of workers and enormous contributions they made towards the survival and sustainability of the company inspite of numerous challenges.
Pagano revealed that NAOC, planned to make Health and Safety Environment (HSE) a core value, therefore solicited for the cooperation of staff to team HSE.
He used the opportunity to sympathised with the host communities across Rivers, Bayelsa Delta and Imo States who were affected by the recent flood disaster that ravaged the area, noting that NAOC as a corporate citizen responded to the yearnings of the people by making some donations through the respective governments.
He urged the awardees to continue to put in their best in the service of the company, as he wished them more years of meritorious service.
Also speaking, the General Manager, Human Resources/Organisation, Feyi Dienye, charged the recipients to continue to maintain the culture of hardwork and dedication to duties, as well as working towards achieving the objective of the NAOC family.
