The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Education, Mr Ndubuisi
Chibueze-Agbo,  Tuesday lifted the
suspension of some principals and teachers who were sanctioned for indiscipline
and fraud.

The officers were found guilty of impersonation,
insubordination, maladministration and fraud, during the last academic year in
the state.

Chibueze-Agbo told newsmen in Abakaliki that the affected teachers
and principals were recalled “in the spirit of togetherness.”

“In the spirit of togetherness and the needed synergy, I hereby lift all but one of the suspension orders issued in the last academic year.

“But Mr Israel Aluu, who collected money above the approved
fee for the registration of the 2011 WAEC and NECO examination and did not
register many of the students for the examination, remains suspended.

“Fraudulent activities, truancy and acts of insubordination
have been exposed and courageously punished.

“I will continue to discharge the assignments of the
ministry within the ambits of the law.

“No amount of threat or blackmail from those enemies of
education will deter me from moving the education sector to a greater height,”
he said.

According to the commissioner, the 222 approved secondary
schools across the three senatorial zones of the state will soon receive
adequate infrastructure.
