Ameachi Mourns Georgeford Nwosu
Governor Chibuike Amaechi has lamented the sudden demise of former member of the House of Representatives representing Etche/Omuma Constituency, Hon. Georgeford Nwosu.
Speaking during a condolence visit he paid to the family of the deceased in company of his wife on Saturday, Judith, Rt. Hon. Amaechi described the death of the former federal law maker as unexpected, but said life and death was certain for all humans.
To us he was a very health man, but you know when it comes to life and death, the only way to explain the mystery of life and death is to leave it to God.”
He added that, “Georgeford was a very young man who had served this state meritoriously. He had been chairman of Council, he had also been a member of the House of Representatives and he was preparing make sure he served in higher capacity.”
Praising God to Strengthen the family in this period of pain, the Governor pledged that his family and the state would standby the deceased wife and children.
Amaechi further assured that as his friends we will standby the family and we will participate in the burial and we will be nearby in case you need help.”
Responding later, son of the late former chairman of Omuma Local Government Arae, Mr. Noble Nwosu thanked the governor for finding time from his busy schedule to condole the family, saying such gesture demonstrates high regard to his late father.
Mr. Nwosu while thanking the Rivers State Chief Executive for his words of encouragement said, “you have really proven that my dad served the state and also that my dad was a good friend of yours. You have wiped away shame from our eyes.”
The late Nwosu hailed from Omuma and was 56 year-old before his death. However, the burial obsequies was yet to be made public by the family.
