The Oyo State Government has threatened to revoke undeveloped residential plots at the Kolapo Ishola Housing Estate at Monatan  if their owners fail to develop them within two years.

The State Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Survey, Mr. Isaac Omodewu, gave the warning at a media briefing in Ibanda yesterday.

He also said holders of the statutory rights of occupancy on private lands should pay their annual ground rents as at when due to avoid being penalised.

The Commissioner said 180 plots were withdrawn from allottees at the Ejioku Housing Estate as government contribution to the joint housing scheme between the state and a consulting firm.

He, however, said N285 million would be paid as compensation to those whose houses were affected by the construction of the Odoona Elewu-Apata dual carriage way

Government, he added, had surveyed 5,000 hectres of farmland at Sepeteri in Okeogun community for the take off of a pacesetter farm project.

Omodewu also said the government would renovate the Agbowo shopping complex and all other state owned structures to enhance their revenue generating capacity.

He announced that his ministry had acquired 294 parcels of land to construct public toilets at the Agbowo shopping complex, adding that 41 hectres were acquired at the Ajoda New Town for electrification in the area.
