One of the fast growing young coaches in Rivers State, Gabriel Nwiyara, popularly called Sir Jay is targeting opportunities that will take him to the big league.

The Coach, who was one of the assistant Coaches in the Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt’s Camp last season said that having honed his coaching skills in training and practice, he needs an opportunity with a good club to show what he can do.

According to Sir Jay in an interview, a big Lucky break is what he needs to realise his dream of leading a club to national glory.

He therefore called on club owners not to always ignore young coaches but challenge them with opportunities to prove themselves.

When asked if he could handle Sharks or Dolphins, he said, ‘Why not Man United or Chelsea”. He said that while he would not reject any opportunity from either Sharks or Dolphins, his ambitions are not restricted to the two state clubs.

He however, said that he believes in waiting on God for the right time, as “God’s time is the best.’

The Coach said that he has succeeded in putting God first in everything he does as it is by His grace and hardwork can one succeed.

He commended the Rivers State, Commissioner for Sports, Hon Fred Igwe for the innovations he has brought to the sports sector, especially, in the management of Sharks and Dolphins FCs.

He also noted the good job being done by the current coaches of Sharks and Dolphins and urged other local coaches, especially, the coaches association to support them in their effort to succeed and bring glory to the state.
