UNILAG Volleyball TeamTargets Gold In Inter-Tertiary Games

Volleyball players of the University of Lagos in the ongoing Inter-Tertiary Games in Lagos, have declared that they would clinch the gold medal in their category.

Some of the players told the Tidesports on Monday that their optimism was based on the amount of work they had put into their preparation for the games.

One of the players, John Kayode, said that in spite of the short notice they received about the commencement of the games, they were not in any way deterred by the challenges they had to cope with.

“The invitation was impromptu, but due to the fact that we had been training together, we were not caught off-guard,’’he said.

Another player, Ganiu Aileru, told Tidesports  that the long period they had spent together in training, had “engendered a rapport’’which they had put into good use during their matches.

The Unilag male team will square-off against the Nigeria Army School of Finance and Administration in the finals of the competition.
