Bafana Bafana coach, Pitso Mosimane, has praised his experimental side, in spite of their 1-2 loss to Zimbabwe in an international friendly.

Mosimane told newsmen in Johannesburg that he was happy at the performance of the team.

He said it was a good beginning for the 2013 African Cup of Nations build-up.

“I think the performance was very good. Yes, we lost 1-2 but I am happy that we scored in an away game. We were much better on the day, even though the conditions were difficult.

“I’m happy with the performance, I’m not happy with the results. In January, we’ve got other friendly games and we are going to have local-based players.

“We’ll be playing against teams who’ve qualified for the African Cup of Nations. Let’s prepare the team for 2013,” he said.

Bafana Bafana, on Saturday played 1-1 draw with Cote D’ Ivoire national team at 17th Nelson Mandela Challenge an International Friendly.

The team had nine changes from the one that played at the Nelson Mandela Challenge against Cote d’ Ivoire.
