NSE Acquires Land For Resource Centre
The Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) Port Harcourt branch, has acquired 30 plots of land for the development of engineering resource centre in Port Harcourt.
Making this known in his presentation at the Membership Induction and Fellowship Celebration Dinner of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, in Port Harcourt last weekend, the vice chairman of the branch, Engineer D.A. Dania said the Port Harcourt branch, being one of the outstanding branches of NSE in Nigeria, is determined to have a world-class engineering centre.
According to him, “This proposed engineering resource centre is going to be the first of its kind in Nigeria, which will have world-class facilities that you can compare with any one any where in the world”.
The branch vice chairman explained that the Port Harcourt branch went that far to acquire the 30 plots of land so as to give a befitting outlook and design to the centre, when fully completed.
He said that the resource centre will have guest house, swimming pool for engineers who could even come from other parts of the world, to rest or do business in Port Harcourt.
Dania posited that it will cost the branch about N1 billion to execute the project because every thing that will make the centre pleasurable will be provided, and also solicited for the cooperation of members and other well-meaning Nigerians to support the vision it through their contributions.
