International Friendly: Nigeria/Argentina, Must Win For Super Eagles
A former player of Rangers FC of Enugu, Kenneth Abana, has urged the Super Eagles to strive to win their proposed friendly match against Argentina in Abuja in June.
“A win against Argentina will instill fear into many other big teams around the world,’’ Abana told Tidesport source in Awka, yesterday.
“It is one match that is a must win for Nigeria to move up in FIFA ranking and showcase the ability of the team.
“It is paramount that we win this friendly match so as to instill fear into African countries. It will be a warning that a new Super Eagles have arrived.
“Defeating Argentina for the first time at the senior level is important.
“This is possible because our present coach scored against them at the 1994 World Cup only for Argentina to bounce back to win that game,’’ he said.
“Winning this friendly is what we need now to boost the rebuilding of the national team.
