The executive Director of CEDSI, Mrs. Mina Ogbanga who said this in an interview  with The Tide in Port Harcourt said that, the high budgetary allocation would enable the State government to actualise its emergency programme in the educational sector.

Mrs. Ogbanga also said that the in allocation would go along way in helping to complete all on-going projects in the sector.

She said that the people of Rivers State were looking forward to the  completion of the model secondary schools currently being constructed across the 23 local government areas, the construction of primary schools in the state as well as the actualisation of the free school uniforms programme.

The CEDSI Director particularly lauded Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his innovation in both the education and health sectors, pointing out that the programmes have placed the state on a fast lane of development.

Meanwhile, the Centre for Development and Support initiative (CEDSI) has given a pass mark to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the success of the just-concluded voters registration exercise nationwide.

Mrs Ogbanga noted that inspite of some of the problems witnessed during the voter registration exercise, INEC has done well.
